Hi, my name is Colin Goodwin - and this is my blog.
Professionally, I'm a Project Coordinator at a digital agency in Halifax, Nova Scotia called Modern Media. I have experience as an Account Coordinator at Chester + Company, where my primary accounts were O'Regan's Automotive Group and EastLink. I interned as an Account Manager at Lowe Roche Advertising in Toronto, Ontario where my main account was Audi Canada.
Scholastically, I graduated from Acadia University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing).
Personally, I use this site as a collection of thoughts, creative, media, design, campaigns, branding, promotion, photos, music, ideas, art, and anything else I find relevant to my world.
Feel free to check me out on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, or you can e-mail me at 'c.goodwin@me.com'.

Today’s the day (4/4^2)! If you’re in reading this, in Halifax, and have no plans after work today, come check-in to La Trinidad on Salter Street for over $5000 in prizes and giveaways, insightful talks on social media (not just Foursquare), free beer, free food, and a fun chance to mingle/network! I’m one of four feature speakers at the event, discussing: “how social media helped me find my voice”. Check out the Facebook Event here, and I hope to see you out tonight (5:30-9pm)! Did I mention there’s free beer?

Looking for something awesome to do this Thursday evening in Halifax? Check out Risk It For The Biscuit - a show of recent artwork made by 12 emerging artists, finishing their studies at NSCAD University. This group has been working along side one another, making art that demands an exhibition. The range of work is a testament to the breadth of concerns and interests of this group.
This particular painting was done by my good pal Colin. Just one of the many great pieces I’m looking forward to seeing in person come Thursday night!
The gallery is located at 2053 Gottigen St., running from Nov 24 - Dec 3, with the opening reception being from 7PM-Midnight on Thursday. See you there!

Sharp anxious shards penetrating the composition, flat fragments pushing hard edge abstraction into intuitive expression. By manipulating colours and formal qualities I create a interlocking system of wreckage against the flat white, peaceful ground. These uncomfortable compositions serve as an insight into my process and state of being, reflecting my day-to-day mindset and feelings.
Cool poster design (only fitting for a NSCAD event). I may just have to attend Friday night!
Side note: if you don’t know about the school’s current problems, or if you do and want to act/help, sign this petition to keep the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design intact and independent. Nova Scotia (and Halifax) needs NSCAD!
As I’m sure most of you know NSCAD has been struggling lately. The crew at The New HFX has taken it upon themselves to raise some cash & awareness. Good tunes, and a great cause. Details here.
I’m a fan too! @TwitCoast
I drew the covers for the double “Back to School” issue of The Coast this week!
The theme: Harry Potter, so I drew Harry and pals in university.
Mike Holmes is the freakin’ best there is.
